V·C·T·R
A four-stage diagnostic methodology adapted from engineering failure-analysis practice. Every job — from a $2k pre-purchase to a $40k unresolved misfire — follows the same sequence.
- 01Validate
Confirm the concern. Establish a baseline. Reproduce conditions.
Customer concerns are translated into measurable conditions. We confirm the symptom, document it, and establish a reference baseline — speed, load, temperature, time-of-day, fuel state, drive mode.
Deliverables- Concern statement
- Baseline scan report
- Reproduction protocol
- 02Correlate
Compare symptoms, DTCs, environment, and history.
DTCs are not conclusions — they are clues. We cross-reference fault codes with freeze frames, service history, TSBs, recall data, and known platform failure modes to narrow the hypothesis space.
Deliverables- DTC + freeze-frame map
- TSB / recall cross-reference
- Hypothesis matrix
- 03Test
Measure and isolate with the right instrument.
Oscilloscope. Bus analyzer. Smoke machine. Pressure transducer. Borescope. We select the instrument that proves or disproves each hypothesis — and capture the trace.
Deliverables- Scope captures
- Bus traces
- Bench-tested components
- 04Resolve
Deliver findings, evidence, and recommended action.
A written report with the root cause, the evidence supporting it, the recommended corrective action, and an estimate of parts and labor. Yours to keep — or hand to your preferred shop.
Deliverables- Written report (PDF)
- Annotated evidence pack
- Repair recommendation
PicoScope 4425A · Autel Ultra · Launch X-431 · OEM dealer suites · CANalyzer · pressure transducers
Every job concludes with a written report including evidence captures, repair recommendations, and labor estimates.
We are a diagnostic service. We do not perform repairs and do not earn revenue from parts sales — by design.
