005 · FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about advanced vehicle diagnostics, mobile service, module programming, and pre-purchase inspections.
My car won't start — can you come to me?
Yes. We provide mobile no-start and crank-no-start diagnostics across Greater Metro Atlanta. We bring OEM-grade scan tools, oscilloscopes, and electrical test equipment to your driveway, office, or roadside location — no tow required to get a real diagnosis.
What is advanced vehicle diagnostics?
Advanced vehicle diagnostics goes beyond plugging in a code reader. We use oscilloscope captures, CAN bus analysis, fuel and pressure transducers, and OEM dealer software to isolate the root cause of difficult or intermittent vehicle problems that other shops cannot resolve.
What does my check engine light mean?
A check engine light indicates the engine management system has logged a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). The code is a clue, not a conclusion. Our DTC diagnostics process correlates the code with freeze-frame data, live sensor readings, TSBs, and platform failure modes to identify the actual root cause.
Do you diagnose intermittent and hard-to-find electrical problems?
Yes — intermittent fault diagnosis is a specialty. Parasitic battery drain, CAN network communication failures, ground faults, and ghost warning lights are isolated using time-domain reflectometry, differential probing, and thermal-load reproduction.
Can you program ECU, PCM, or BCM modules?
Yes. We perform ECU programming, PCM programming, BCM programming, TCM adaptation resets, and module configuration using OEM dealer-level software for most Ford, Lincoln, GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai/Kia, VW Group, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Porsche, and Tesla vehicles.
What's included in a pre-purchase inspection?
Our mobile pre-purchase inspection includes a full diagnostic fault scan across every module, condition assessment of major systems, evidence of prior repair work, and a written vehicle evaluation report — so you know exactly what you're buying before you sign.
Do you offer fleet diagnostic support?
Yes. We partner with fleet operators on mobile fleet diagnostics, commercial vehicle diagnostics, fault isolation, and technical reporting. Our fleet diagnostic partnership model reduces downtime and prevents unnecessary parts replacement.
Where do you provide service?
We provide mobile vehicle diagnostics throughout Greater Metro Atlanta — including Atlanta, Buford, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Suwanee, Cumming, Alpharetta, Roswell, Norcross, Johns Creek, Gainesville, and all of Gwinnett County.
Do you perform repairs?
No — VCTR Dynamics is an independent diagnostic specialist. We do not perform repairs and do not earn revenue from parts sales. You receive a written report with root-cause findings and repair recommendations you can take to any qualified shop.
Will you work on my BMW, Audi, Porsche, Tesla, or other European vehicle?
Yes. We service Audi, BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Tesla using OEM-level dealer software and platform-specific diagnostic protocols — not generic aftermarket scanners.
How long does a diagnostic appointment take?
Most advanced diagnostic appointments take 1.5–3 hours on-site, depending on complexity. Intermittent or network communication faults may require additional time or a follow-up under specific operating conditions.
What does a diagnostic appointment cost?
Pricing depends on scope — basic fault scans, advanced diagnostic investigations, pre-purchase inspections, and fleet contracts are priced differently. Contact us with your concern and we'll quote the appropriate service level.
